Shipping policy
This policy covers physical items posted by GK Global Limited (trading as RoadSeal) from Hong Kong — both products bought from the RoadSeal Store and the printed International Driving Permit booklet included with the Printed + Digital and 3-Year plans. Delivery of the digital IDP PDF is a separate, email-based service and is not covered here.
Where we ship
We ship worldwide, except to countries subject to international sanctions or where local regulations prohibit importing the item. If we can't ship to your destination, we'll contact you and refund the order in full.
Shipping options & cost
- We offer a single tracked service. There is no express or priority shipping upgrade — the Express option sold at checkout speeds up the digital PDF only, not the posted booklet or parcel.
- Store shipping is a flat US$20 per order, shown before you pay.
- Free shipping on Store orders over US$60. Postage for the printed IDP booklet is already included in the plan price.
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
Dispatch & delivery times
- Dispatch: orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–2 working days. For Store products that window starts when you pay; for the printed IDP booklet it starts once your licence has been verified, so allow for the verification step on top.
- Transit: parcels typically arrive 7–15 working days after dispatch, varying by destination and customs clearance.
- Read together, that means a posted item is dispatched within 1–2 working days and typically arrives 7–15 working days after dispatch, depending on destination — 8–17 working days door to door. The two figures are separate and they add up: the first is how long we take to send it, the second is how long the carrier takes to deliver it.
- Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees — carrier and customs delays can occur, especially during peak periods.
When to order if you're travelling
The digital IDP and the printed booklet are delivered by completely different means, so plan against whichever one you need. Do not plan against the digital timeline and expect the booklet.
- Digital IDP — 1–2 business days (as fast as 2 hours with the Express option). It arrives by email and you can print it yourself anywhere. If you are leaving in under two weeks, this is the option that reaches you in time.
- Printed booklet — order it about four weeks ahead. Dispatch (1–2 working days, counted from licence verification) plus transit (7–15 working days) is 8–17 working days door to door, or roughly two to three and a half calendar weeks — and carrier or customs delays sit on top of that.
- There is no faster post to buy. Express is a digital upgrade. It does not change dispatch, carrier or transit time by a single day.
- Ordering a booklet closer to departure is not a mistake — you travel on the digital copy and the booklet reaches your delivery address afterwards. Just don't count on holding the booklet before you fly unless you ordered roughly four weeks out.
Order tracking
Every order ships with tracking. We email your tracking number as soon as the parcel is dispatched; please allow a few days for the first scan to appear.
Customs, duties & import taxes
These charges are set by your local customs authority and usually collected by the carrier on delivery. We have no control over them and can't predict their amount. If a parcel is refused or returned because import charges weren't paid, the original shipping cost and any return fees are non-refundable.
Wrong, lost or damaged parcels
- Wrong or damaged item: email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we'll replace or refund it at our cost.
- Lost in transit: if tracking shows no movement for an extended period, contact us — we'll investigate with the carrier and resend or refund once it's confirmed lost.
- Incorrect address: please check your shipping address carefully; we can't be responsible for parcels sent to an address entered incorrectly at checkout.
