Is this the same as an IDP from the AAA?
Not the same, and the difference is worth saying plainly. In the United States, AAA is one of the organisations the federal government has designated to issue International Driving Permits under the Conventions. RoadSeal is not a designated authorising body, and does not claim to be one.
What RoadSeal prepares is a permit document laid out in the format the 1949 Geneva and 1968 Vienna Conventions describe: the same fields, your licence details rendered in 12 languages, carried alongside your original national licence. That format is the one used across 150+ countries — but acceptance is decided by the destination, and in practice by the police officer or rental desk in front of you. Check your destination's rules before you travel, and where a country tells you to obtain your permit from an authorised body at home, do that.

Printed booklet (Printed + Digital, 3-Year Pass)
Printed + Digital and the 3-Year Pass post a passport-style booklet by tracked mail: dispatched within 1–2 working days, then typically 7–15 working days in transit after dispatch. Police checks and rental desks often expect the printed booklet.
Valid for one year
Each permit runs for one year from its issue date. The 3-Year Pass covers three consecutive one-year permits on a single payment, with a reminder before each renewal.
