Blood alcohol limit is 0.08%. Night driving is strongly discouraged due to unlit roads, pedestrians, and wildlife. Police roadblocks are frequent — always carry your licence, passport, and rental agreement, plus your IDP if you have one.

Urban: 60 km/h. Highways: 80–120 km/h. Police roadblocks are very common and officers check documents, speed, and vehicle condition. Speed humps in towns are often unmarked.
